About Mr. & Ms. Deaf Philippines

A return of the beauty and brains of Deaf officials decided to operate the Mr. & Ms. Deaf Philippines 2024, under the Philippine School for the Deaf Alumni Association or PSDAA. Due to the global pandemic crisis in 2020, Miss contestants cancelled program events held on May 4, 2020 in the hotel of Pasay which passed by Manila Social Welfare in February the same year. PSDAA is a trade name approved the certificate of filing of amended on December 12, 2023 last year, operating by under the alumni affairs association, a non-stock corporation, duly registered with Securities and Exchange Commission in 2006.

One of the class of 1992 created a pageant organization in connection with the PSDAA. Alumna Flordely D. Aguila ‘92 dreamed that pageant must be the first Deaf history to have a beauty crowned titles of the Philippines who challenged the hearing Filipinos in 2014. After the crown and bouquet of flowers have been awarded, a Deaf Filipino pageant queen’s job is not completed as for many might think how the win marks the equal opportunity and the set of responsibilities that come withholding a title.

Today, the alumni crowned titles is a social responsible as such teamwork to lead them the best Deaf competition on equal footing. Through the MMDPH organization created the programs in cooperation with PSDAA, in order to avoid the feeling embarrassed in societal norms or personal standards. Without a help of the beauty crowned titles will be nothings making a difference. But it is important the challenge to remember our alma mater as a pioneer of the school for the handicapped in the Philippines. Long life PSDAA!
