I was pleasantly surprised by the enthusiasm and professionalism of the staff and how well organized. Even with COVID-19 issues, NAM staff was prepared and always diligent to provide safety first precautions. My only critique, is I wish there were more instruction and practices available for some of the optional contests and what to expect if you place in the Top 12.
We love the NAM Pageantry programs! I have grown so much in my confidence and life-skills! I am ready for anything and my future looks bright!
My daughters started competing in NAM in 2003 at the State Level and 2004 at the National Level. We have not missed a Nationals since! My daughters both started competing in the Jr. Pre Teen Division at age 9. My younger daughter Nicole hit the jackpot at Nationals in 2008 by winning the All American PreTeen Division. After her reign, both daughters started working for NAM as choreographers. Nicole now, now a college graduate, does photography and videography for the pageant. In 2010, Nicole and I started the National American Miss Alumni Foundation. Our mission is give scholarships to national contestants and our own National Queen Alumni. To date we have given over $37,000 in scholarships. We have been truly blessed by this organization and feel honored to have been a part of it for so long. I have seen the difference it makes in young girls lives, starting with my daughters. The confidence and interview skills they learn are irreplaceable. My husband and I volunteer at Nationals every Thanksgiving. This year was very different because of Covid. I appreciated all of the time and thought that went into planning the event for the contestants, families and staff. It was a huge success. If you are looking for a fun, family event where your child can make friends and learn real life skills, this pageant is the one! I could go on and on. Our family loves NAM and what it does for young girls! Check out their website. Pam Renard- National Alumni Foundation Founder
NAM is an excellent pageant. They're professionals, fair and diverse.
I have had two daughters compete in NAM. In 2004, my oldest daughter tried National American Miss. It was a life changing event. The self confidence and just being able to talk to people (through the interview process) are characteristics that both of them received that are immeasurable! No makeup for the younger divisions also made the experience more of a real event. My girls and I are still part of the National American Miss. To me, parenting is THE most important job of my life and signing them up for this organization was one of my best decisions as a father I have EVER made. The staff is impeccable and quite-a-few actually have become part of our family. The term NAMily is not just a slogan, it is true to life. The complete well being for EACH contestant is paramount to all of the staff. I am an educator and these young women and men mirror what teachers do. It may not be math or reading but the education in self worth and confidence rivals just about anything.
NAM is a system we can always count on for a good time and to meet other families who uplift and support each other’s children. The staff is always smiling and so helpful and this year with Covid took extra measures to keep their contestants safe. An amazing system anyway you look at it.
We love National American Miss! I started this my journey with NAM when I was 5 years old when I got a recommendation in my mailbox. Every since then I have gained confidence and learned many life skills. My favorite thing about this system is what we call our “NAMily” which is all of the friends we make during our journey.
Amazing pageant and experience overall! Will definitely be returning to the NAM stage very soon!
The National staff did an amazing job keeping everyone safe while also ensuring that all of the contestants had a blast.
National American Miss is the only pageant system I’ve competed in, and it’s because I’m not ready to say goodbye to it! I started my pageant journey 2 years ago with NAM and I’ve enjoyed every single second of it. You truly build a family through NAM and I’m so incredibly thankful for all of the opportunities NAM has given me!
My daughter has been involved in NAM for six years. We have met so many wonderful people through her involvement in NAM. Every summer, we work on getting her ready for the State Pageant together. She is poised, confident and motivated to achieve the goals she sets for herself. We attribute her can do mind set to the amazing skills she has developed while being involved in NAM all these years. Building her public speaking skills, one on one interview with the judges, and organizing all the details for Pageant week are why we keep being involved year after year. Thank you NAM for everything you do for the girls!
We have had 2 girls in NAM for the past 8 years and everyone has been amazing. The staff treat every girl with the same amout of love and respect. It wasnt until after this years national pageant that I truely realized just how much this NAMily comes together when there os a problem. Our girls mom passed away on Dec 2nd on our way home from nationals. The outpouring of love and support from staff and other families(many of whom we have never really visited with but knew the girls) has been nothing short of awe-inspiring. This organization does so much to instill good core values into all the girls from princess up to miss. I firmly believe that NAM is one of the best pageants that you could allow your daughters to compete in.
My 8 year old daughter has attended 3 NAM Pageants now. 2 state and 1 national. This organization is amazing to be a part of. I have got to watch my daughter grow in her confidence over these last 2 pageant years so much. I know as long as my daughter wants to do pageants this is the main organization that she will always complete in!
National American Miss is truly like no other pageant. The bonds and memories you make within the organization are truly one of a kind. Growing up in the system I have learned to be proud of who I am and embrace my authentic self. By being apart of NAM, it showed me I am a girl with dreams and instilled a confidence inside of me to turn my dreams into a reality!
What a great experience for the girls! Each year my daughter grows more and more confidence!
This is THE BEST pageant system I’ve ever been in. They make the girls feel amazing about themselves!
NAM Is absolutely a amazing organization it is more then just a pageant it’s family! I have learned so much and made so much memories and friends and I can not wait to continue my journey with them!
I have been a NAM girl since I was 5 years old. This year, at 11 years old, I am proud to carry the banner and crown as the National All-American Miss Pre-Teen. I am able to look at how I've grown in this pageant system over the years...I am able to introduce myself to an audience with poise and confidence, speak passionately about a topic as a spokesmodel, carry myself with grace during one-on-one interviews, and totally rock the runway like I own the stage! Because of the skills I have gained from the National American Miss system, I have been blessed with many opportunities that have opened up for me at school and outside of school. The atmosphere of NAM state and national competitions is always supportive, and they are so much fun! The state and national directors, choreographers, emcees, production staff are all amazing. They really want to bring out the best in every girl. My NAMily has grown in number and strength over the years, and I am so proud to be a part of the NAM organization.
This was our first year with National American Miss. My daughter was in the Princess division and enjoyed every minute of the national pageant. The precautions for COVID-19 were beyond what I would have guessed was possible. Every staff member was kind and truly cared about each and every contestant and their family. I asked my daughter if she wanted to try a different state pageant this year and she said absolutely not! She wants to be back at NAM for nationals in 2021.
NAM has done an amazing job at holding a SAFE national level pageant during a pandemic! They took all the necessary precautions, plus some when it came to masks, sanitizing, and distancing while making it an unforgettable experience.
NAM 2020 was our first NAM experience and we are hooked!!! NAM was unlike any other pageant we have attended - and when they say they CELEBRATE every girl, they MEAN IT!!! We can’t wait to go back to NAM next Thanksgiving!
