If I could give 0 stars I would. This pageant and director are both a joke and a scam! We signed up our clients in March and didnt have any information about the pageant, host hotel or sponsors when we reached out in June. None of our questions were answered and Crystal went MIA on communication. It took WEEKS to get a response, and then she refused to schedule a phone call after she offered to call. None of our questions were answered and Crystal went MIA on communication. It took WEEKS to get a response, and then she refused to schedule a phone call after she offered to call. We also paid $299 for our registration, but it was later promoted to $99. Then we paid Crystal directly in June for $250 each for two required opening dresses by Marc Defang. Marc (as of 8/14/2025) never received payment for the dresses (two weeks before the pageant's original date), and he never got directions to have the dresses made. So I requested a refund via Email, Text, and Venmo, and Crystal has been MIA. Will not answer emails or texts. AND she blocked me on Facebook after I called her out on the Pageant Boards. Do not waste your time or money on such an AWFUL person and experience. It really is not hard to just return the funds you so clearly have, Crystal McDonald.Show less

VENDORS BEWARE!! After working with this pageant for 10 years, we weren't paid for our audio, lighting, and drape services for last year's pageant on July 27th, 2024 at the Houston Marriott Sugar Land Hotel. After receiving an email in December stating their were family issues that put them in a tough spot, we offered to set-up a payment plan. Since that email was sent to us, we have received no further communication and all our emails and invoice reminders have been ignored.

Hello! Just wanted to take a moment to thank you for the opportunity and honor for me to participate for the past two years in this amazing, organized, and detailed pageant. Since I walked in at registration, I felt the warm welcome from everyone. I had such a wonderful experience and so many people have reached out to me with questions about my NEM experience....I will always cherished the memories I made for a lifetime. Looking forward to a fun year ahead!

This was one of the bests experiences I ever had. I have a sisterhood and strong support system because of NEM . Not only that , it’s professional and fun . A great balance especially if you’re nervous . Crystal is by far the sweetest and most understanding directors I’ve encountered . You’d be sure to feel like NEM is your family . I also must add , the crowns are spectacular ?
