Sydni Dion Bennett’s dream came true the moment she was crowned Miss Illinois Teen USA on September 4th, 2017. In the 34 years of the Miss Teen USA Organization’s existence, Sydni Dion is the first African American delegate to claim the coveted title in Illinois! The teen queen’s love for the stage began at the age of 6 years old, upon being introduced to the art of dance. Since then, she has grown to become a heavily decorated national soloist and co-director of a national winning dance team. Bennett is currently preparing for a future in the dance industry, as she attends Chicago Academy for the Arts as a dance major with plans to pursue the craft as a minor in college on the West Coast upon graduating next year. In addition to dancing, Sydni Dion has a love of volunteering and mentorship of young girls. Advocating on behalf of instilling confidence in teens is an exciting new part of this young leader’s job description, which she can't wait to start. Sydni Dion is set to storm the national Teen USA stage in the summer of 2018, and she can't wait to bring her platform of mentoring young women with no role models and minimal resources to achieve their goals to the nation!
