I was born in Independence, Missouri where I grew up in an awesome, supportive family. I have three dogs named Bishop, Nala, and Juan. Throughout my formative years, I was committed to making my community a better place. I volunteered at my home church and I loved my time singing in the church choir.
I was an honor roll student at William Chrisman high school where I graduated in May 2018. While in school, I volunteered in several community service projects including distributing food at local food pantries, visiting nursing homes, and mentoring children at transitional facilities. I served as the Treasurer of the Health Occupation Student Association, was a soloist and a letterman in my school's competitive choir, and competed in track, cross country, and diving.
I aspire to be a Licensed Nurse Practitioner. In the fall, I will begin my studies in the focused Pre-Nursing program at Metropolitan Community College in the heart of Kansas City. I have a passion for helping others lead a healthy lifestyle and strive to use my education to improve the health of the African American community.
