In 2018, Sarah Rose placed Top 20 at Miss Universe 2018.
Summers started her pageant career in 2005 at the age of 10 when she entered the National American Miss Pageant. After four years of competing, she won her first state title, capturing the National American Miss Nebraska Junior Teen 2009 crown. Following that, she was crowned the 2009-2010 NAM Jr. Teen national titleholder.
Summers continued her pageant journey on the Miss Teen USA stage. In 2012, representing Sarpy County, she won the title of Miss Nebraska Teen USA 2012. She went unplaced at Miss Teen USA. Summers later returned to the Miss Nebraska USA stage in 2016, where she placed second runner-up, again representing Sarpy County.
In 2018, representing Omaha, Summers won the title of Miss Nebraska USA on her second try. On May 21st, 2018, she was crowned the 67th Miss USA at the Hirsch Memorial Coliseum in Shreveport, Louisiana.
Summers graduated cum laude from Texas Christian University with two degrees in child development and strategic communication, with a minor in business.
Summers has worked closely with her mother, friends and patients battling anorexia and orthorexia. Watching their struggles ignited her passion for working with National Eating Disorder Association (NEDA) while encouraging others to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
On May 21, 2018, Sarah won the title of Miss USA, securing herself a position in the Miss Universe Pageant!
In December 2018, Sarah Rose competed at Miss Universe 2018 and finished the night as a semi-finalist.
