Samantha Redding was born and raised in Burlington, North Dakota. She recently graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science in Special Education, and is excited to follow her lifelong dream of helping children of all abilities reach their educational and personal goals.
Samantha comes from a large family. Having a father who spent a year deployed to Iraq and a sibling born with a disability, she developed a passion for helping others at a young age. Samantha currently volunteers with organizations including the North Dakota Buddy Walk, Circle of Friends, Souris Valley Humane Society, Second Story, Dream Catchers Baseball, Special Olympics of North Dakota, and Minot Area Homeless Coalition. She lives by the saying, "Be somebody who makes everyone feel like somebody."
Samantha hopes to spend her year as Miss North Dakota USA 2019 spreading her message and platform, "We Are More Alike than Different," which promotes positivity, inclusion, and acceptance. She plans to continue working with local and state charities, as well as create bonds with new charities and organizations across North Dakota and the United States.
