Pia Wurtzbach is Miss Universe 2015 and Miss Philippines Universe 2015!

Many of us know Pia Wurtzbach as Miss Universe 2015 and one of the young women stuck in the middle of the Steve Harvey Miss Universe mix up, but Wurtzbach has gone on to accomplish quite a bit since her year as Miss Universe.
Wurtzbach's new movie Wurtzbach recently made a return to acting in her second movie ever, "My Perfect You." The movie is a drama and romance film in which Wurtzbach stars as the lead aside famous actor Gerald Anderson. It is focused on Wurtzbach's character lifting up a downtrodden character played by Anderson and the love that develops between them.
While things were heating up on screen, the controversy was stirring over whether the stars had a real-life relationship going on. Anderson's girlfriend Bea Alonzo allegedly unfollowed Anderson on social media after rumors of infidelity between Anderson and Wurtzbach occurred. Alonzo has since re-followed Anderson on social media and the couple seems to be happy together once more. Many worried initially that this controversy surrounding the movie would lead to a box office flop once "My Perfect You" debuted in theaters. Not only did the controversy not harm the movie, but many have deemed "My Perfect You" a resounding success.
The box office success of "My Perfect You" In just three weeks of being in theaters, the movie grossed 136 million Philippine pesos. Many are deeming this movie an outstanding success and it is receiving rave reviews. Among the film's and Wurtzbach's biggest supporters is former Miss USA 2015 Olivia Jordan. She recently took to Instagram to express how much she loved Wurtzbach's newest movie.
"Omg Pia. This movie is sooooo good. Still crying 6 hours later," Jordan wrote. The film is now going into its fourth week in theaters worldwide and is expected to continue climbing higher in sales each week.

What's she been up to?
Wurtzbach wishes to continue her career of acting. She made her movie debut in the Philippines' action-comedy superhero film "Gandarappido: The Revenger Squad" launched in 2017. The movie had a great reception; it was the most sold among the eight entries and became the top grosser at the Metro Manila Film Festival, accumulating around 600 million pesos.
Wurtzbach also revealed that she will be starring in an upcoming film this year, a romantic comedy called "My Perfect You" with Gerard Anderson as her co-protagonist and under the direction of Cathy Garcia-Molina.
So what's new for Pia?
Wurtzbach recently signed a contract with reknowned Filipino chocolate brand, Goya. She was announced as Goya Chocolates' brand ambassador the same day the brand's campaign launched the promo "Get a taste of World-Class," which will end February 28, 2018.
Wurtzbach stated that she is very happy about the endorsement and that if she were a chocolate, she would be dark chocolate.
"Some people think it tastes bitter; actually it’s sweet, 90 percent cocoa, which is good for the health," Wurtzbach said.
And what's next?
Wurtzbach's upcoming projects are keeping her busy in her native country for now, but she says she plans to return to New York in the future.
"I stayed in New York for a year but I found out it was not enough time for me to explore the city so I want to go back and enjoy it to the fullest," Wurtzbach stated.
According to her, she chose not to keep away from the limelight for a reason.
"Opportunities come only once or twice sometimes, so I'd like to take advantage of such opportunities," Wurtzbach said in a past interview. "I don't like for them to pass me by."
