Born and raised in Idaho, Forest grew up with a love of music and pageants.

Forest got her pageant career started with the Distinguished Young Women Program. She was the Distinguished Young Woman for the Pocatello/Chubbuck area in 2014. She competed for the Idaho state title, but was just shy of her goal of making the Top 10.

After graduating high school, Forest was accepted to the University of California, Davis where she is currently pursuing a degree in International Relations with a minor in Chinese. She will be taking a year off to fulfill her duties as Miss Idaho before returning to finish. She educational goal is to obtain a Juris Doctorate and practice human rights and social justice law.

Forest started competing for the title of Miss Idaho as a freshman in college. She won the title of Miss Nampa and was 4th runner-up on her first try. She returned in 2017 with the title of Miss Treasure Valley and placed as 3rd runner-up.

It was third-times the charm for Forest as she was crowned Miss Idaho 2018 on June 9th, 2018 at the Nampa Civic Center located in Nampa, Idaho.

Forest grew up as a classically-trained violinist. However, in high school, she found a love for piano. She says talent was her weakest category when she started competing because she only had a few years on experience under her belt compared to other pianists in the competition.

Forest was a Preliminary Talent Winner at the 2018 Miss Idaho Pageant after playing the instrument for only six years.

She will compete for the title of Miss America 2019 on September 9, 2018 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
