Ludtke is a native of Effingham, Illinois. She is the daughter of Joe Ludtke and Heather Mumma of Effingham, Illinois. Growing up, she attended Effingham High School located in Effingham, Illinois.
During high school, Ludtke got her start in pageants by competing on the Miss Illinois Teen USA stage. She registered to compete at the 2011 Miss Illinois Teen USA Pageant. She placed as first runner-up.
With a strong performance the prior year, Ludtke registered to compete at the 2012 Miss Illinois Teen USA Pageant. She just missed the mark of cracking the Top 5. She walked away as a semifinalist placing in the Top 16.
After graduating high school in 2012, Ludtke took her studies to Lindenwood University located in Saint Charles, Missouri. She graduated cum laude in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts in Print and Broadcast Journalism. During her time, she served as a an Executive Board Member of the university's Student Government.
After graduation, Ludtke returned to the pageant stage, this time as a Miss. She compete at the 2017 Miss Missouri USA Pageant. On her first try at the title, she placed as third runner-up. Encouraged by her performance, she registered and competed in the 2018 Miss Missouri USA Pageant. She placed as first runner-up and won the Evening Gown Award.
After two attempts at the Miss Missouri USA title, Ludtke registered for a third time. She compete at the 2019 Miss Missouri USA Pageant representing the City of Saint Louis. This time, the crown was hers. Ludtke was crowned Miss Missouri USA 2019 on September 16, 2018, at the Isle of Capri Casino located in Boonville, Missouri. She will compete for the title of Miss USA 2019.
She was recently recognized in The St. Louis Business Journal’s “Women on the Move” section. She hopes to work at an entertainment news show or as a home shopping network host. Her favorite titleholder is Shandi Finnessey, Miss USA 2004, the only Miss Missouri USA to hold the Miss USA title.
