Gray was born and raised in the quiet coastal town of Trenton, Maine. She attended Ellsworth High School located in Ellsworth, Maine from 2009 to 2011. She then transferred to Brewer High School located in Brewer, Maine where she graduated in 2012. During her time, she was an active member of Student Council and was Class President.

Facing much adversity in her home life and within her family dynamic, she initiated a legal emancipation at the age of 16. Gray has never been one to let external factors define her. She chose to define herself.

After graduating from high school, Gray attended the University of Maine located in Orono, Maine. She graduated in 2016 her degree in Communications and a minor in Psychology. In the future, she plans to attain her Master’s in Fine Arts for Documentary Production.

Gray also joined the United States Army Guard after her high school graduation where she continues to serve. She currently holds the rank of Sergeant.

In 2017, Gray entered her first pageant, Miss Maine USA and Miss Maine Teen USA 2018 as a Miss contestant. On November 25, 2017 Gray was crowned Miss Maine USA 2018 at the Holiday Inn Portland by the Bay.

Gray then went on to represent Maine at Miss USA 2018 where she placed in the Top 10.

Today, Gray resides in Portland, Maine where she continues to serve her country.

FUN FACTS about Marina Gray

Knowing education was the key to a successful future, she graduated a year early from high school, applied for college at the age of 16, and was accepted to three separate Universities. She was the only female player on her Junior High baseball team. She received the award for Soldier of Year in her unit in 2015. She received the award of Non-Commissioned Officer of the Year of her unit in 2017. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, skiing, snowboarding and boating. One of her life’s greatest passions is cinematography.
