I have been involved in pageantry since I was about 3 years old on and off, and got more serious with them once I got into high school. I have been involved in multiple systems throughout my time as a contestant, including American Coed, NAM, Miss America's Outstanding Teen, the Miss America Organization, USA National Miss, and America’s Majestic Miss. The current title I hold is America’s Majestic Miss National Ms.

My aunt played a large role in why I was involved in pageantry but also why I stayed involved. I wasn't always successful but she was always very encouraging and never wanted me to give up as long as it was still my dream. I am glad she instilled that tenacity in me and she is now the inspiration behind my platform.

In 2019, Lyndsea Burke competed as Ms Indiana at the America's Majestic Miss 2019 pageant for the opportunity to represent to the pageant for the year.

Pageant Platform

My personal platform is called Obesity: Let's CHANGE the Stigma. CHANGE stands for Creating Hope ANd Generating Encouragement and my main goals are to change the way others perceive those who suffer from obesity and to emphasize that getting help to become healthy is okay because obesity is a multifaceted issue.I became passionate about this after my aunt Jody passed away from obesity related complications. Together, pageantry was "our thing", and I remember from a very young age talking and preparing to one day make it to a national stage. She unfortunately got too sick to see that ever happen, but things became so bad because of the negative way others treated her. That treatment made her fear going out and living even a normal life. After her loss, I my goal has been to try to help as many people as I can by sharing her story because I do not want someone to go through what I did when I lost Jody. To achieve that goal I teamed up with the Obesity Action Coalition and became a national spokesperson for the OAC. It has been so rewarding to share the mutual goal of helping others struggling with many of the same things Jody did with such an amazing organization.
