Haller was born and raised in Helena, Montana. She is the daughter of Robert and Sherri Haller. Growing up, Haller was an avid dancer.
She graduated from Helena High School in 2012. Afterwards, she attended Boise State University located in Boise, Idaho. She graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor of Science in Medical and Health Sciences with a minor in Dance. On top of juggling a full class schedule, Haller was also company dancer with the Idaho Dance Theater from 2015 until after graduation in 2017.
Haller left the Idaho Dance Theater after landing the chance to dance professionally on Viking Ocean Cruises. It was here where she met a passenger who was involved with the Miss Montana Organization and encouraged her to enter the pageant. With her contract ending just as pageant week was scheduled to begin, the potential to win scholarship money and community service, Haller took the jump and registered for the competition.
Unlike many state pageants, the Miss Montana Organization does not hold local pageants. Instead, contestants register for the state pageant where they represent their area of residency.
Haller had never competed in a pageant before representing her hometown of Helena on the Miss Montana stage. Her dance skills wowed the judges and helped her secure a $750 scholarship with the Outstanding Talent Award.
Haller’s wildest dream came true when she was crowned Miss Montana 2018 on June 16, 2018 at Dawson County High School Auditorium located in Glendive, Montana. She will compete for the title of Miss America 2019 on September 9th, 2018 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
