Landry is the 4th of 5 children from David and Tammy Overton of Sanford, North Carolina. She is 14 years old and is in the 8th grade at San Lee Middle School where she is an honor student and in the Leadership Academy. She has also been a Lee County Scholar two years.

Landry enjoys most sports, including softball where her team was champions for the 2nd year in a row. She is currently a member of Diamond Dreams travel softball team. She also plays volleyball, basketball, and gymnastics and has danced classical ballet since she was 3 years old. Landry also plays cello and received the San Lee Orchestra Award.

She won Best in Class 2 years running in the North Carolina USA Ambassador pageant where she was runner up, 2016 North Carolina Supreme Beauty Miss Heart of the USA, 2016-17 National Junior Miss Heart of the USA, and 2017 North Carolina Teen United States Agriculture.

Loving volunteer work in her community, Landry has worked many hours with the Carolina Animal Rescue and Adoption organization, Stepping Stones youth development, The Steven's Center for developmentally challenged adults, the Lee County Bread Basket, the Ronald McDonald House of Chapel Hill and Seniors Aglow where she helps with the elderly. Collecting books regularly, Landry organized a recurring event named "Books 4 Smiles" in her community where children could get free books. She earned the Gold United States Presidential Award for volunteer service in March 2017.

Landry and her sister, Jenna, share and promote their platform "A Heartbeat Away" to raise awareness of the need for AED placement in public areas. Many children, like their younger brother, have heart conditions that could be life-threatening.

Landry has 2 cats, 2 dogs,  and a horse named "Baby".
