Dr. Karen Correa is the current 2017 All American Super Model. Her blended family consists of 5 children and 3 grandchildren. She resides in Mickleton, NJ. Dr. Correa holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology, a Masters in Health Administration, and Doctorate of Philosophy in Health Science with an emphasis as an International Health Practitioner. As the Senior Director of Clinical Operations for Adare Pharmaceuticals, Dr. Correa oversees clinical trials on a variety of therapeutic areas to ensure the safety and efficacy of medical products. She is also recognized as a subject matter expert on culture, ethics, health equality, and diversity in clinical trial participation. Dr. Correa is also a board member of CAMcare Health Corporation a Federally Qualified Healthcare Center (FQHC) that has been a trusted name in providing top quality healthcare services to Camden and Gloucester Counties since 1978. She also serves on the editorial board of Clinical Leader where she assists to guide editorial focus and direction on valuable information that will streamline clinical research.
Her knowledge and experience has afforded her the opportunity to educate the public and health care community at large on the awareness needed for addressing health disparities. In so doing, she has written multiple articles and provided lectures on the importance of diversity in clinical trials. Dr. Correa’s passion does not end at the offices of Adare Pharmaceuticals, but extends to her personal platform as a motivational speaker developing programs on “self-love” for young women. Self-love is the foundation of her work providing testimonial discussions on how she overcame her struggles and challenges throughout childhood, and as a young adult.
