Copeman is originally from Poconos, Pennsylvania. Growing up, she was constantly interacting with nature. As she grew older she began to recognize the gap between the environment, inner city spaces and children. Her passion for the environment and horticulture guided her career path.
After graduating from high school, Copeman was accepted to the University of Delaware. She graduated with her Bachelors of Science in Environmental Science. During her time, she traveled the world through study abroad programs. She visited 14 countries including Thailand, Myanmar, England and Spain. She also completed two mission trips to Costa Rica and Greece where she helped with animal rehabilitation, reforestation and beach cleanup.
Copeman was then accepted to the University of Delaware’s master’s program where she earned her Masters of Science in Entrepreneurship and Design. Afterwards, she began an internship at one of the world’s top horticultural sites, Longwood Gardens in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.
It was also in college where Copeman decided to enter her first ever pageant, the 2017 Miss Delaware USA and Teen USA pageant where she placed in the Top 10.
Encouraged by her previous placement, and with her degree completed, Copeman returned to the Miss Delaware USA stage. She entered the 2019 Miss Delaware USA and Teen USA pageant. In only her second pageant ever, Copeman was crowned Miss Delaware USA 2019 on November 18, 2018 at the Chase Center on the Riverfront located in Wilmington, Delaware.
Copeman will go on to compete for the title of Miss USA 2019.
