In 2010, Walters entered her first pageant at Miss Bear Paw in the Miss Division. She won the title of Miss Bear Paw Queen 2010 and the Best Overall Costume Award.

In 2011, Walters competed in the Miss Chugiak/Eagle River in the Teen division. She won the title of Miss Birchwood's Outstanding Teen. She then went on to compete for Miss Alaska's Outstanding Teen 2011. She went unplaced in the competition. Walters then competed in the 2011 Miss Alaska USA and Miss Alaska Teen USA pageant in the Teen division.

In 2014, Walters competed at the Miss Alaska USA and Miss Alaska Teen USA pageant in the Miss Division. She placed as second runner-up.

In 2015, Walters again competed at the Miss Alaska USA and Miss Alaska Teen USA pageant in the Miss Division. She placed as first runner-up.

In 2016, Walters again competed at the Miss Alaska USA and Miss Alaska Teen USA pageant in the Miss Division. She placed as a Top 5 finalist. She then went on to compete for Miss Alaska Collegiate America 2016 where she won the title. She represented Alaska at the 2016 Miss Collegiate America pageant where she went unplaced in the competition.

In 2019, Walters competed for her fourth time at the Miss Alaska USA and Miss Alaska Teen USA pageant in the Miss Division. She won the title of Miss Alaska USA 2019. She will go on to compete at the 2019 Miss USA and Miss Teen USA pageant for the title of Miss USA 2019.
