Jessi Gradillas was born and raised in Gilbert, Arizona. This Arizona native enjoys a variety of activities from exercising including the sports of basketball and flag football, to singing and playing her guitar, to photography, camping, and even kayaking.
Jessi was crowned Miss Arizona’s Outstanding Teen 2015 on June 28, 2015. Clenching both the Preliminary Talent and Preliminary Lifestyle and Fitness in Active Wear awards, she captivated State 48\'s heart and won Miss Arizona\'s Outstanding Teen on her first try. Going on to Miss America\'s Outstanding Teen, Jessi placed 3rd Runner to Allie Nault (her MAOTeen roommate and best friend for life), won the Preliminary On Stage Question in Evening Gown and Preliminary Talent awards, and was named in the Top Five Interviews. In her Year Of Service as Miss Arizona\'s Outstanding Teen 2015, Jessi traveled over 20,000 miles across 6 states and all over the state of Arizona. Working closely with her platform of Empowering Students With Disabilities, she partnered with Best Buddies Arizona and raised $1500 for Best Buddies programs in her state. Jessi was a full time senior at Campo Verde High School and graduated with a 4.2 GPA, top 10% of her graduating class, and with the honors of being a member of the National Honor Society, a member of the National Society of High School Scholars, and the CVHS Community Service Honor. Balancing both a busy senior year and her title, Jessi made 68 appearances and sang the National Anthem 21 times at venues including The Barret Jackson Car Show Scottsdale and the PF Chang\'s Rock n\' Roll Marathon Phoenix.
In August of 2016, Jessi will be moving to Roanoke, Virginia to attend The Hollins University to study Psychology in the Hollins Honors Program. Thanks to MAOTeen, much of her education is being paid for through a Hollins in-kind scholarship.
Jessi Gradillas plans to pursue more pageant titles in the future.
