Jedra was born and raised in Lexington, Ohio. She is the daughter of Mike and Stephanie Jedra. She is currently a senior at Lexington High School located in Lexington, Ohio. There, she is a member of the National Honor Society and the Ohio Cardinal Conference Leadership Council.
Jedra has also been active outside of the classroom. She is a member of her high school’s golf team where she has been a four-year varsity letter winner. Upon graduation, Jedra plans to attend college and major in nursing.
Jedra first started her journey to the Miss Teen USA stage at the encouragement of her grandmother, the late Drena McCurdy. McCurdy was involved in the Miss Ohio Scholarship Competition for a number of years. She also founded the Miss Lexington program for Teen contestants in the Lexington area.
Jedra registered for the 2018 Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA pageant. According to Jedra, her grandmother helped with her pageant preparation. However, a month before the pageant was scheduled to take place, McCurdy passed away unexpectedly.
However, Jedra still took to the Miss Ohio Teen USA stage where she represented her hometown of Lexington. On her first try at the title, she was named to the Top 5 and placed as fourth runner-up to Miss Ohio Teen USA 2018, Sofia Durina.
After making the Top 5 of her first try, Jedra registered for the 2019 Miss Ohio USA and Miss Ohio Teen USA pageant where she again represented Lexington. This time, the crown was hers. Jedra was crowned Miss Ohio Teen USA 2019 on November 4, 2018 at the Matthews Auditorium located in Sharonville, Ohio. She was also named a finalist for the Overall Evening Gown Award.
Jedra will go on to compete for the title of Miss Teen USA 2019.
