Evelyn Clark is from Cathlamet, Washington, but currently resides in Bellevue, Washington. Before becoming Miss Washington USA, Evelyn held the title of Miss Wahkiakum County USA.
As someone who enjoys helping others, Evelyn works as a paralegal for a law firm in downtown Bellevue. When she isn’t helping serve the justice system, you can find Evelyn commercial fishing in Alaska with her family where she is an owner of a set net operation. Evelyn has been traveling to Alaska with her family to fish since she was a little girl, which gave her a strong work ethic. From experiencing low self-esteem at a young age, Evelyn takes pride in being a role model for kids and has volunteered for multiple mentoring programs.
When Evelyn won her title of Miss Washington USA 2019, it was her seventh time competing for the state title. Even if she had not walked away with the crown, it would had to have been her last attempt. Evelyn is proud of herself for being resilient and going after her goals.
After competing in Miss Washington USA 2014, Evelyn wasn’t sure if she would be able to ever compete again. She recalls that she “bombed” her on-stage question and was “embarrassed and felt defeated.” Fortunately, she was able to get through it and give it another go, which all paid off in the end.
