Emily embodies resilience, passion, endurance and elegance. She grew up on the south side of Kenner City, Louisiana only miles away from the Big Easy, New Orleans, Louisiana. The food, music, fashion and culture of southern Louisiana influenced Emily since a child. A southern belle with big goals, ambition, and love that she wants to spread to all.
Since a young girl she has been involved in banquets, recitals, dance competitions, theatre, choirs, and fashion shows. Her recent stage performance includes Louisiana State University Department of Communication’s play “Nappy” which highlights the fight and struggles that African American women with natural hair face in the modern day. This play would go on to have 4 shows in Baton Rouge, LA and a performance at the African American Heritage Museum in Hammond, LA, and Loyola University in New Orleans , LA.
Ms. Sharpe has also been featured in the international Paris, France based magazine Moveir Parris, United States based national magazine Genzo magazine, Baton Rouge Business Report, 225 Magazine and much more! With over 7 years of modeling experience and 15 years of dance experience, and 6 years of communication experience Emily genuinely enjoys the performance of arts world and the process of being an entrepreneur. She supports and encourages others to create or buy from local and small businesses. Emily prides herself in her relationships and employs her family and friends in her entrepreneurial ventures including a family owned mobile food service, event management consulting and staffing service.
Emily dedicates much of her time to the world of fashion as well. She has work with beauty empire’s such as Mac Cosmetics and has walk for a numerous amounts of fashion shows, including Essence Magazine’s Fashion House. She also has experience as creative director and production’s manager.
Currently, a senior at Louisiana State University at Alexandria, she is working on transitioning into being a fashion Entrepreneur full time while also spreading the awareness and importance of ownership and Entrepreneurship. Emily believes that with God, support of her family friends, and community, her dreams would not be possible
