In 2018, Emily placed Top 20 at Miss Universe 2018.
Emily Sara-Claire Maddison was crowned Miss Jamaica Universe 2018 on August 24th/2018, securing her a position to represent her country at Miss Universe 2018 in December in Thailand. Emily won the crown while wearing the Miss Heaven's Fesco 2018 sash. As well as walking away with the crown Emily won over $1 million in cash and prizes.
Emily also took home the awards for best in swimwear, best in evening gown, most photogenic and Miss Social Media.
In the final question, Emily stated that her best quality was her inexperience explaining that at 19 years old, her youth allows her the opportunity to face each situation as a challenge as she rarely knows what to expect.
Emily recently graduated from Campion College, a High School in Jamaica and is currently taking a year off of her studies for her self and her title. But plans to take her Scholarship to the University of the District of Columbia in Washington DC to probably study psychology, after her reign comes to an end.
In her free time, Emily enjoys reading Magna, eating spicy food and doing yoga. Emily has stated she is interested in follwing a healthy lifestyle.
It is unclear if Emily will crown her successor as Uzuri International, the owner of the National Pageant discontinued it's franchise shortly after she was crowned.
