Angel Bhathal is an ambitious and accomplished Canadian born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Angel was raised by her grandmother who instilled core values in her to be an advocate for others. At an early age, Angel learned that a woman must be independent, hard working, and intelligent in order to be a strong leader.
Having held several professional accolades, Angel holds two degrees in Pharmacy (Bachelors and Doctors), has worked as a licensed pharmacist in both community and hospital pharmacy settings, has been a preceptor for the College of Pharmacy, a pharmacology instructor for the Manitoba Institute of Trades and Technology, and a published research author. In 2011, Angel was a recipient of the Manitoba Society of Pharmacists and Manitoba Pharmaceutical Association’s Young Leader Award and in 2012 she received her Certificate of Achievement in Life Long Learning in Pharmacy. Since, Angel has gone on to fulfill several leadership roles as a Manager, a Director, and now most recently as a Senior Director.
Having experienced her own loss of family through illness, Angel understands the hardships of medical illness her patients and their families face. For this reason, she strives to empathize and treat patients and their families with the same compassion and caring she would want for her own family.
A real go-getter with intense focus, Angel is able to challenge herself, contribute to the health and safety of patients, and give back to others in her personal life. Angel has served various organizations, including: the Because I am a Girl Initiative, SOS Children's Villages, the Mustard Seed Communities, Give the Kids the World, Operation Smile, Winnipeg Harvest, the Children's Hospital, Variety the Children's Charity, the Recycle Everywhere Program and A Rocha Environmental Stewardship.
