Bunch is a native of Spartanburg, South Carolina. Growing up, Bunch watched her mother fight leukemia for eight years. Unfortunately, Bunch's mother lost her battle in January 2013 when Bunch was just 15-years-old.
After the loss of her mother, Bunch struggled to find herself and her purpose in life. After graduating from Dorman High School in 2015, Bunch enrolled at the University of South Carolina where she is pursuing her Bachelor degree in Political Science.
While attending the University of South Carolina, Bunch found the Miss South Carolina Organization. With platform work playing a vital role in a provider's duties, Bunch was able to find her purpose again with her platform, Be The Match: Become The Cure. With her platform, Bunch advocates for those with leukemia, lymphoma and other types of blood cancers. She also brings awareness to the importance of donating bone marrow which is critical in fighting these forms of cancer.
Bunch took her message to the Miss South Carolina stage for the first time in 2017 as Miss Upstate. There, she placed in the Top 10.
Motivated by an impressive first run at the title, Bunch returned to the Miss South Carolina stage as Miss Spartanburg. Bunch was named the only double preliminary winner of the pageant, taking home a Preliminary Talent and Preliminary Swimsuit award.
Bunch was crowned Miss South Carolina 2018 on June 30th, 2018 at the Township Auditorium located in Columbia, South Carolina. She will compete for the title of Miss America 2019 on September 9th, 2018 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
