My name is Christina Askren and I have been raised in Kingston, Tennessee my whole life and made a life choice to raise my own family in this great community. I graduated from Roane County High in 2011, graduated from Heidelberg University of Tiffin, Ohio in 2015 with my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice and a minor in Psychology. Now, I am currently in the process of deciding on a Master’s program to further my education and career.
I am a proud member of the “Blue Family”. I have been in law enforcement for almost six years. I began my journey as one of our finest Kingston Police Officers, in college I had the privilege to intern with the Seneca County METRICH Drug Task Force, with just one semester left in my college career I packed up and moved to our nation’s capital to work for the Department of Justice. I worked as external affairs for the Office of Community Oriented Policing Services. Once I graduated with my B.S. I had an offer from my dream career within two weeks. Now, I am a Security Police Officer for the Department of Energy in our country’s history making city Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
I am a very active community member. I had the pleasure of coaching our local AYSO last year and I currently mentor young girls in pageant systems from all over. I have also participated in our County Food Pantry Drive for about four years now and have helped serve over 2,000 local families with a meal for the holiday season. This year our goal is to feed 1,000 families in need, and top the last two years. So, you can say that my volunteer pride runs deeper than the orange in my veins!
I cannot wait to meet more of our amazing community members and share more about my journey called life, my platforms, and brush my joy and passion off on others from all walks of life! God Bess!
