Bria Angenette Virgil is a 22-year-old born and raised in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She is proud alumna of McKinley Senior High School and after graduating, with honors, she enrolled in to the University of Louisiana-Monroe (ULM). She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communication, double concentrating in the field of Public Relations and Advocacy. At ULM, she is heavily involved in on-campus programs and groups. Bria reigned as the president of ULM’s chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America and the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People. She is also a Fall 2015 initiate of the Lambda Rho chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated and held positions on their executive board.
Aside from school she enjoys playing the piano, painting, and pageantry. She now owns two businesses, The Painting Red and Pretty with a Purpose. The Pretty with a Purpose Organization (PWAP) has been her platform though out her pageant career since she was 18 years of age. The focus of PWAP is the build self-esteem in adolescent girls today so they become women of confidence tomorrow. Through her organization she hosts forums, mentoring programs, and pageants all aimed to stop the epidemic of low self-esteem.
