Fresquez was born and raised in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Ever since she could walk, Fresquez has been competing in pageants.
Fresquez started her pageant journey at just 14-months-old. She competed in and won her first pageant, the Baby division for the New Mexico Cinderella Scholarship Program. She continued with the program, eventually winning the Tot, Miniature Miss and Miss titles.
After competing in the Cinderella Program, Fresquez decided to try her hand at the Miss New Mexico’s Outstanding Teen Organization. At just 14-years-old, she won the title of Miss New Mexico’s Outstanding Teen 2009 and went on to compete at Miss America’s Outstanding Teen later that year. While she did not place, her experience inspired her to continue with the Miss division.
Fresquez won her first Miss title in 2014 at the Miss Santa Fe Pageant. She went on to compete at Miss Mexico 2014 for the first time.
Fresquez returned for her second try at the Miss New Mexico crown as Miss Corrales. Her years of dance training showed as she won a Preliminary Talent Award. She also cracked the Top 5 and walked away as third runner-up.
Motivated by a Top 5 finish, Fresquez returned once again to compete for her dream title. At the 2016 Miss New Mexico Pageant, she represented Duke City. She won a Preliminary Swimsuit Award and placed as first runner-up.
After coming so close to capturing the crown, Fresquez returned for her fourth try at the Miss New Mexico title. She won another Preliminary Swimsuit Award as well as a Preliminary Talent Award. However, she fell short of winning the 2017 Miss New Mexico Crown. She was named first runner-up for the second time.
Determined to walk away with the crown, Fresquez returned for her fifth shot at the title. This time, her dream came true. Fresquez was crowned Miss New Mexico 2018 on June 9th, 2018 at the Flickinger Center of Performing Arts located in Alamogordo, New Mexico. She will compete for the title of Miss America 2019 on September 9th, 2018 in Atlantic City, New Jersey.
