Career Ambition: Become an anchor on “Good Morning America”

Favorite Movie Genre: Thrillers! I love movies that get my heart racing and keep my attention until the final scene.

Who inspires you? Robin Roberts: Robin faced two forms of cancer while working her way to become an anchor on “Good Morning America” all while maintaining her positive attitude. She inspired me to work tenaciously, never give up and enjoy every moment of every day.

Favorite weekend activity: Cheering the Georgia Bulldogs on to a victory in Sanford Stadium. Go Dawgs

A Mequon, Wisconsin native, Jorgensen currently resides in Athens, Georgia. She graduated from the University of Georgia in May 2018 with a degree in journalism.

Jorgenson competed three times for Miss Georgia. She made the top 10 semifinalists her first year and top 15 the second. Her efforts for the 2018 pageant paid off when she was crowned Miss Georgia where she also won the overall interview, on-stage question and evening wear awards. She performed a jazz dance to the standard “That’s Life” for the talent competition.

As Miss Georgia, Jorgensen will share her personal platform, Patch of Confidence (#IGotThis) with Girl Scouts in Georgia based on her partnership with Girl Scouts of America. She created a patch program for young girls to explore what makes them feel special, which will earn them a “patch of confidence.”

Jorgensen will go on to compete at the Miss America competition in September of 2018.
