The Texas Regency International Pageant is a state preliminary to the Regency International Pageant. Texas Regency is comprised of 12 age divisions for females and 4 age divisions for males. Winners of Texas Regency have a paid entry to the Regency International Competition (a $550 value) as well as receiving other various prizes throughout the winners reign.

Delegates are drawn from areas throughout Texas. If a local title is already claimed, an appointed title may be granted for state entry. Age divisions are Tiny (4-5), Petite (6-7), Little Miss (8-10), Jr. Miss (11-12), Jr. Teen (13-15), Teen (16-18), Miss (19-28), Ms. (18-44), Mrs. (18-44), Classic (45-59), Illustrious (60+), Shapely (19+ size 14W+). Male divisions include Little Mister (4-8), Mister (9-12), Mr. Teen (13-18) and Mr. (19+).

There are 4 main categories of competition: Interview, Photogenic, Fun Fashion and Formal/Evening gown. Each category is worth 25% of the total score. Male divisions will also compete for all 4 main categories of competition.
