About Ms. Wheelchair Florida

The mission of Ms. Wheelchair Florida, Inc. is to provide an opportunity for women of achievement who utilize wheelchairs to successfully educate and advocate for all individuals with disabilities.

Ms. Wheelchair Florida, Inc. serves as a platform for women in all 67 counties in Florida while advocating for the 54 million Americans who are living with disabilities. MWFL Inc. strives to bring awareness to all people with disabilities and the importance of them being included in the communities in which they live and that they are able to have a choice when it comes to employment, education, and housing.

Ms. Wheelchair America and Ms. Wheelchair Florida, Inc. are in no way beauty pageants but are platforms to select the most accomplished and articulate spokeswoman to be an advocate for the 54 million Americans with disabilities.

The selected representative must be able to communicate both the needs and the accomplishments of her constituency to the general public, the business community and the legislature.

As Ms. Wheelchair Florida, she will have the opportunity to travel, make public appearances, and conduct radio, print, and television interviews in the fulfillment of her responsibilities.

Ms. Wheelchair Florida will advocate and promote awareness in order to eliminate architectural and attitudinal barriers, educating and heightening awareness to people with and without disabilities of the achievements of people with disabilities across the great state of Florida.
