Miss Teen Philippines

Miss Teen Philippines was founded in the last quarter of 2003 by a group of friends who share a common vision of being able to provide a venue that would facilitate socio-civic activities promoting education, personality development, and growth for the youth. To achieve this, the group pooled their resources and established Youth Empowerment for Self-Reliance, Inc. (YES! Inc.), a non-profit organization with core programs and activities related to education, adolescent reproductive health and sexuality, and drug and substance abuse prevention.

In line with the objectives of YES! Inc., the group thought of looking for a spokesperson and a role model who will bring to fore these issues concerning the youth. Thus, the birth of Miss Teen Philippines – a teen pageant which aims to bring together confident, intelligent, and talented teen candidates from all over the Philippines to compete in the search for a national youth representative that would serve as the role model for our Philippine youth.

As a role model and a youth icon, Miss Teen Philippines is expected to carry out activities involving active promotion of responsible behavior among the youth and motivating them to take the initiative to define their goals and direction in life
