About Miss Southern Heartland Scholarship Pageant

The Miss Southern Heartland Scholarship Organization is an Open Pageant. This allows young ladies that live, work or attend school anywhere in the State of Indiana to compete. Miss Southern Heartland and Miss Southern Heartland's Outstanding Teen are official preliminaries to Miss Indiana and Miss Indiana's Outstanding Teen!
Miss Southern Heartland Candidates must be between the ages of 17 (senior in high school) and 25. All Miss Candidates are required to raise $100 for the Children's Miracle Network.

Miss Southern Heartland competes in:
Talent (90 second talent presentation of your choice)
Private Interview (10 minute panel style interview: 9 1/2 minutes of Question &Answer. 30 second closing of your choosing)
Evening Wear/Social Impact Statement (Evening Wear of your choice and an 8 second sound bite on your Social Impact Initiative-previously known as your Platform)
On Stage Interview (one question from the judges' panel)

Active Wear (Solid color tank top, soffe' style short and tennis shoes)
Evening Wear & On stage question (one question from the judges' panel)
Talent (90 Second presentation of your choice)
Private Interview (6 minute panel style interview) (A suit, dress or pantsuit that is age appropriate)

?Miss Southern Heartland's Outstanding Teen Candidates must be between the ages of 13 and 17 (junior in high school- You can NOT be a Senior in high school to compete in the teen division) years of age. Each teen candidate is required to pay an entry fee of $100 to the Miss Southern Heartland Scholarship Organization.
