About Miss Prairie State

Miss Prairie State & Miss Prairie State’s Outstanding Teen is an official preliminary pageant to the Miss Illinois & Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen pageants. Each year, two winners are chosen to represent Miss Prairie State at the Miss Illinois and Miss Illinois Outstanding Teen pageants. They also receive the opportunity to represent the Miss Prairie State Organization throughout their home states for the duration of their reign as well as a prize package selected by the Miss Prairie State directors.

All contestants for Miss Prairie State must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. Women who live in Illinois and who are older than 17 years of age and younger than 25 years of age are eligible to compete in Miss Prairie State. Additionally, contestants must never have been married or given birth to a child.

All contestants for Miss Prairie State’s Outstanding Teen must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. If you live in Idaho and are between the ages of 14 and 17, you may be eligible to compete for Miss Prairie State’s Outstanding Teen.
