About Miss Polk County Scholarship Program

Miss Polk County is an official preliminary to Miss Iowa in the Miss America Organization. They give the titles of Miss Polk County, Miss Central Iowa, Miss Polk County's Outstanding Teen, and Miss Central Iowa's Outstanding Teen.

The last Miss Polk County to win Miss Iowa was Kelly Koch in 2016. Kelly went on to place in the Top 10 at miss America 2017.

No Miss Polk County's Outstanding Teen has won at the state level yet.

No Miss Central Iowa has won at the state level yet.

The last Miss Central Iowa's Outstanding Teen to win Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen was Cali Wilson in 2018. Cali went on to win the Non-finalist Talent Award and the Overall Dance Award at Miss America's Outstanding Teen 2019.

The Miss Polk County Scholarship Program is no longer holding local competitions.
