About Miss MatSu

Miss MatSu & Miss MatSu’s Outstanding Teen is an official preliminary pageant to the Miss Alaska & Miss Alaska Outstanding Teen pageants. Each year, two winners are chosen to represent Miss MatSu at Miss Alaska and Miss Alaska Outstanding Teen pageants. They also receive the opportunity to represent the Miss MatSu Organization throughout their home states for the duration of their reign as well as a prize package selected by the Miss MatSu directors.

All contestants for Miss MatSu must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. Women who live in Alaska and who are older than 17 years of age and younger than 25 years of age are eligible to compete in Miss MatSu. Additionally, contestants must never have been married or given birth to a child.

All contestants for Miss MatSu’s Outstanding Teen must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. If you live in Alaska and are between the ages of 14 and 17, you may be eligible to compete for Miss MatSu’s Outstanding Teen.
