About Miss Greater Des Moines Scholarship Program

Miss Greater Des Moines is an official preliminary to Miss Iowa in the Miss America Organization. They award the titles of Miss Greater Des Moines, Miss Metro, Miss Greater Des Moines's Outstanding Teen, and Miss Metro's Outstanding Teen.

No Miss Greater Des Moines has won at the state level yet.

The last Miss Greater Des Moines' Outstanding Teen to win Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen was Caitlin Crome in 2019.

The last Miss Metro to win Miss Iowa was Chelsea Dubczak in 2017. Chelsea went on to win the non-finalist talent award at Miss America 2018.

The last Miss Metro's Outstanding Teen to win Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen was Nina Yu in 2015.
