About Miss Grand South Africa

Miss Grand South Africa is South Africa’s official preliminary pageant to the Miss Grand International pageant. Each year, one winner is chosen to represent the region of South Africa at the Miss Grand pageant. They also receive the opportunity to represent the Miss Grand Organization throughout their home states for the duration of their reign as well as a prize package selected by the Miss Grand South Africa directors.

All contestants for Miss Grand South Africa must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, swimsuit, evening gown, and onstage question. Women who live in South Africa and who are older than 17 years of age and younger than 28 years of age are eligible to compete in Miss Grand South Africa. Additionally, contestants must never have been married or given birth to a child.
