From the preparation process to the execution of the competition, we encountered numerous issues that made the experience stressful for our daughter. Communication was often unclear, and when questions or concerns arose, it was difficult to receive timely assistance or support. The event appeared disorganized, and there seemed to be a lack of attention to detail. Rather than feeling welcomed and supported, participants and their families were often left feeling confused and frustrated. The entire team seemed lacking in experience and I would like to know what pageant experience Marlen Gallo has. I don't think she knows enough about pageantes to lead one herself, and I fear her only motivation in starting this program is to make money from sponsors. Most importantly, what should have been a positive and memorable milestone in Vera’s life became an experience overshadowed by unnecessary stress and frustration, leading to depression and never wanting to do a pageant again. The event left us questioning whether the significant investment of time, energy, and resources was worthwhile. While we appreciate the effort that goes into organizing such a large event, we believe there is considerable room for improvement in communication, organization, participant support, and overall professionalism and it is so sad what happened to the winners of the two years you have had the program. We sincerely hope future participants have a better experience and that meaningful changes are made to improve the quality of the program.Show less
I have had the pleasure of attending many of MGI events as a supporter and donor. Meeting Marlen through mutual friends , I have been impressed with the professionalism and care that the organization has towards the young women that are involved. Uplifting young women and connecting them with mentors who can help them succeed in life. So, so poorly organized. You will leave wishing they just took your money, and spared the mental toll. I'm embarrassed to have been associated with this "pageant" even in the slightest and my heart aches for the contestants, who were taken advantage of right in front of my eyes. The judges have no clue what they are doing - it feels like they were picked up on the street on the way to the venue. The judges have no clue what they are doing - it feels like they were picked up on the street on the way to the venue. The production is such low quality, it doesn't deserve neither part of its name because it's neither glamorous nor is it international level. The organizers did not care about the contestants or staff in any capacity, as to even provide proper food. The organizers were pushing girls to the point of break down. So unfortunately, there's not a single aspect of this "pageant" that was worth my time or effort. If I were an aspiring contestant, I would take my energy elsewhere.Show less
My experience with Miss Glamourous International gave me the opportunity to work with a variety of individuals and gain experience in areas such as presentation and personal growth. One of my favorite individuals to work with is Dr. Kennedy Garcia- who I had the pleasure of learning from just this week at the Elevate seminar. I've competed in many pageants, and been a local and regional titleholder, and experienced pageantry in the most impactful way to myself and others. In 2025 I became a d Show more

I've competed in many pageants, and been a local and regional titleholder, and experienced pageantry in the most impactful way to myself and others. In 2025 I became a dysautonomia survivor, and spent half a year bedbound and wondering if I would ever walk again (Not only did I walk, but I ended up winning my next title in October!) There’s still no telling the impact that it will have on my future, but because of the support and resources that the other women within the organization helped me connect with, I believe that full recovery will be possible. I’m already 90% there! The women there care and support their sister queens, and that is why I believe that while no organization is without areas for growth, it is in my opinion that the intention of Miss Glamourous International and Marlen is to elevate and uplift struggling women. If you take the time to listen to Marlen’s story about how the organization got started, it was born from the physical and mental struggles that she and her family faced after some difficulties that are tremendously painful obstacles to overcome, in which you have to form a very strong mind. That is the kind of coaching and instruction that MGI aims to help women learn: to train their mental health into something indestructible. MGI does not aim to be a trophy for the people who think they have it altogether (no one does), it’s a training ground for the struggling, and that’s what I like about it.Show less
