About Miss Florida USA & Miss Florida Teen USA

Miss Florida is a beauty competition that selects a winner who will represent the state of Florida in the Miss USA pageant. The winner of the annual beauty competition represents the state and serves as an ambassador during her reign.

The Miss Florida USA pageant is part of the Miss Universe organization. The program is designed to assist the participants in advancing their career and achieve their personal goals. Until 2017, the Miss and Teen pageants were held separately and on different dates.

Recently, the organization made a decision that both pageants compete at the same time. Florida has had several finalists and runner-ups throughout the years but has yet to win the Miss USA title.

Throughout the duration of the pageant, the participants go through several stages of the competition: an interview section, a swimsuit competition, and an evening gown competition.

The first stage is the interview, during which you have a private interview with the selection committee. You will be asked questions about your education, family, goals, community involvement, and other topics.

The judges then evaluate your public speaking skills, personality, and overall presence. The second portion of the competition is athletic wear/swimsuits, meaning you will be judged based on physical fitness, beauty, and poise.

The final segment focuses on your overall appearance, including a sense of style, confidence, stage presence, and elegance.
