About Miss First State

Miss First State & Miss First State’s Outstanding Teen is an official preliminary pageant to the Miss Delaware & Miss Delaware Outstanding Teen pageants. Each year, two winners are chosen to represent Miss First State at the Miss Delaware and Miss Delaware Outstanding Teen pageants. They also receive the opportunity to represent the Miss First State Organization throughout their home states for the duration of their reign as well as a prize package selected by the Miss First State directors.

All contestants for Miss First State must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. Women who live in Delaware and who are older than 17 years of age and younger than 25 years of age are eligible to compete in Miss First State. Additionally, contestants must never have been married or given birth to a child.

All contestants for Miss First State’s Outstanding Teen must participate in four areas of competition: private panel interview with the judges, talent, evening gown and onstage question. If you live in Delaware and are between the ages of 14 and 17, you may be eligible to compete for Miss First State's Outstanding Teen.
