If I could give this pageant zero stars, I would! The event was a complete JOKE! My daughter has been in over 50 pageants, and this was the worst. I have never seen so many conflicts of interest. If I could give this pageant zero stars, I would! The event was a complete JOKE! My daughter has been in over 50 pageants, and this was the worst. I have never seen so many conflicts of interest. The "director" entered her 3 granddaughters in the pageant! One of them took away several awards including an overall Queen. There were also some girls there who danced at a studio owned by one of the judges. One of those dancers was even invited to dance a solo as "entertainment" for the audience. She was in my daughter's division, and won every award they handed out except two...and during our line-up for overalls, her mom/aunt/grandma(someone in her family) came on stage and pushed girls out of the way so this girl could be front and center. Another conflict - there was a former Miss Teen Alabama there helping with awards (her mom was a judge), and she was pointing our all the girls she coaches when we were backstage waiting to for our turn (including winner in my daughter's division). You can't tell me the judges didn't know some of these girls personally. My daughter received perfect scores from two judges and two-tenths from perfect from the other three...you can't tell me she walks away with NOTHING! Don't take me wrong, we know that sometimes you don't win; but, my daughter and everyone else entering this JOKE of pageant had no clue that they were already set up to lose. The ONLY thing I hope that comes out of this is that there was an amazing photographer there and we are SUPPOSED to get stage shots and the headshots we took...unless the director decides not to send them out of retaliation for all the bad posts that were written after her pageant. She has already blocked a lot of us from the pageant group page on facebook and from messenger. Oh, and I forgot to mention, this "director" had no clue how to even score the side awards and was asking a professional pageant director (who entered her daughter in this crap show) how to do it backstage before the pageant started. She wanted to kick the day off with a runway show, and it sounded like a fun idea at first....but then it just turned into a disaster that put everything late by almost TWO HOURS! Most of the baby and toddler contestants had had enough by the time they made it to the stage, and a lot of kids were just begging to go home...teenagers included. After my daughter's division, I went to pick up her photogenic entries, and they had been taken out of the clear photo protectors and had bends and pen marks on them! I have NEVER had a director make us take the photos out of the protectors...they are CLEAR for a reason! If this woman decides to hold another event, I warn you, DO NOT ENTER unless you are her relative or friend...you will be wasting your money!Show less
