About African Heritage Beauty Pageant
The African Heritage Beauty Pageant(Miss African Heritage) is a vision of African Heritage Foundation Nigeria,AHFN organizing in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, Nigeria.
The contest is open to ladies 18-25 year -old who have African background either born in Africa or parents/grandparents were originally from Africa.The Event is an African Event, by Africans and Africans in Diaspora.
The beauty pageant aim at preserving and promoting The African heritage and culture of The African Nations to ensure that the beauty of our history and culture are not lost and the African children are not cut-off from their treasured roots.It is a beauty pageant that is based on our peculiarity and originality as Africans, with values that mirror reality rather than being defined or imposed from outside Africa.
Importantly, this pageant will empower women by giving them a space to have there voices and opinion heard when they otherwise may not be,an avenue of empowerment of participants and those who enjoy it and using it as a platform for young women to embrace their culture and be of benefit to their community, sustainable and of direct positive impact.
The requirements required for the pageant includes,
A short description of a community project,
Personal video presentation,
Must be 18-25 year-old,
Must radiate inner beauty of confidence and intelligence,
Must manifest herself in outer beauty;could be able to speak her mother tongue,
Must nominate a charity initiative to work closely with her during her reign and must have African heritage.
