The Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen 2018 Scholarship Competition was an official preliminary to Miss America’s Outstanding Teen 2019.
Cali Wilson was crowned Miss Iowa’s Outstanding Teen 2018 on June 15, 2018 by the previous MIOT, Lydia Fisher. At the time of crowning, Cali was 17 years old and a senior at Norwalk High School. Cali competed at Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen 2017 as Miss Polk County's Outstanding Teen, where she placed as 2RU. Cali then competed again in 2018 as Miss Central Iowa's Outstanding Teen, where she was crowned Miss Iowa's Outstanding Teen. Cali's platform was “A Chance to Dance" and her talent was Musical Theatre Dance Solo. Cali went on to attend the prestigious Joffrey Ballet School in New York City.
