Miss International was established to promote "friendship and good relations with all Nations" by being "Ambassadors of Peace and Beauty"; showing tenderness, benevolence, beauty, intelligence, and the ability to take action. The Pageant was founded in 1960 in Long Beach, California where it established the "Miss International Foundation" which donates money to underprivileged children around the World through UNICEF and other charity institutions. The donations go to hearing and sight impaired, severely mentally and physically disabled, and severely sick children around the World along with donations to "Feed the Children". Miss International also works with the "Green Campaign" by planting trees in an effort to protect the environment.

The ultimate goal of the Miss International Pageant is to promote goodwill and understanding along with providing a $20,000 cash prize along with an amazing prize package and most importantly, an experience of a lifetime. This year (2018), Miss International will be held November in Tokyo, Japan.

Miss International is one of the largest International Pageants in the World, being recognized by the World Beauty Association as being "1 of The Big 3 International" Pageants in the World.
