About Miss North Dakota Scholarship Pageants

Miss North Dakota is the official preliminary to the Miss America pageant. The winner of Miss North Dakota represents North Dakota at the Miss America pageant for a chance to win the title of Miss America.

The purpose and commitment of the Miss North Dakota Scholarship Organization is to recognize potential, reward achievement and promote women throughout North Dakota by providing opportunities to develop interview and communication skills, enhance performance capability, encourage a healthy life style, and build self-esteem and self-confidence through competition. In addition, provide scholarship dollars to encourage women in North Dakota to continue their education in preparation for their future.

Miss North Dakota has four phases of competition that include: private interview, on-stage question, talent and evening gown. In order to compete for Miss North Dakota, you must live in North Dakota, be between the ages of 17 - 25 and have won a preliminary title. Additionally, to qualify you must be a female who has never married and who does not have any children.
