Mrs. USA Crowned Mrs. United Nations 2015
Annapolis, Maryland Resident Wins Title In Competitive International Field Of Women
New Kingston, Jamaica (July 19, 2015) – Teresa (Tes) Scanlon of Annapolis, Maryland was crowned Mrs. United Nations 2015 at the Courtleigh Auditorium Theater in New Kingston, Jamaica. The week-long event culminated in a 3 hour finale on July 19 where Tes, competing as Mrs. USA outscored 1st Runner-Up Mrs Mexico, Yezenia Navarro and 2nd Runner-Up Mrs. Nigeria, Ebelechukwu Enemchukwu to win the coveted title, Mrs. United Nations 2015. In announcing the winner, United Nations Pageants stated that Tes will be their global representative and spokesperson working toward the empowerment of young women and children around the world.
It’s a role that Tes is embracing with enthusiasm and purpose. “At 55, I happen to be a few years older than many of the contestants, but with those years comes wisdom, practicality and a wide variety of life skills. Being my own boss affords me the opportunity to give my time when and where it is most needed.”
The Mrs. United Nations competition includes scoring in four separate areas. Sports Wear, High Fashion, Evening Gown and Personal Interview. Tes says that, in addition to fulfilling the mission of Mrs. United Nations, she is excited about the visibility that the Mrs. United Nations crown will bring as she continues her mission “to educate people on the essential need to become their own Healthcare Advocate”. Mrs. Scanlon is the Executive Director of Competitive Edge Productions which is a broadcast representation and consulting firm. She is also an interior designer specializing in whole house rehabs. She has been married to her husband Robert for 34 years, and they have two sons, Kyle 29 & Trevor 27.
