Tasia Campbell is an ambitious, courageous and determined woman. Once she puts her mind to something, there’s no stopping her. She is born and raised in Calgary, Alberta, upon graduating high school she decided to move to Vancouver, BC to broaden her horizon. While in Vancouver, Tasia pursued her passion in the beauty industry and studied to become an Esthetician and Certificated Makeup Artist. Upon completion, she moved back to Calgary and continued pursing her studies at the Aveda Institute where she earned a Hairstyling Diploma and graduated with honors.
Since Tasia was a young girl she has always been passionate about fashion and aesthetics, and she recently decided to go back to school to become a Medical Esthetician. She is fascinated about how everyone’s skin has unique attributes; it being the largest organ of the human body, she believes having healthy skin helps to contribute to a longer, holistic lifestyle. Additionally, she understands the importance of healthy skin which helps individuals feel both empowered and confident.
Tasia enjoys meeting new people and helping them feel special about themselves anyway she can. She has volunteered as a hairstylist and makeup artist for fashion shows and fundraisers. Tasia now works as a freelance hairstylist and makeup artist. She is working towards pursuing her goal of owning and operating her very own salon and spa. Starting a business will provide her with the ability to share her passion with others, allowing her to mentor young women in regards to self-love, alongside caring for and appreciating their natural hair and skin, however diverse. This is a challenge Tasia has personally had to overcome, growing up in a society where curly hair and dark skin aren’t considered the standard of beauty. She hopes to educate and inspire the next generation to strive towards a more inclusive society, where the beauty standards have evolved and this is no longer the norm.
