Tara Floriani is Mrs. All-Star US 2016!
TARA M. FLORIANI
I earned my B.A. in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University and my M.A. in Education from St. Peter’s University. I reside in Bergen County, NJ with my husband, Joe, a Legal Headhunter, and our wonderful son, Jack.
I put my education to use for nearly 10 years as a 4th-grade Elementary School Teacher in a challenging Hudson County, NJ district filled with at-risk children. My work day rarely ended in the classroom, for I also, among other things: chaired the Teachers’ Social Committee; organized the school’s “Boxes of Love” program, sending care packages to US troops serving overseas; and created the school’s first book club, a weekly extracurricular program for select talented students.
I also founded “Read Before & After,” a NJ non-profit organization with a dual goal: (a) putting more books into pre-school children’s hands; and (b) encouraging elementary school educators to start after-school reading clubs.
A former Teen and Miss winner, I have been judging pageants for over 10 years. Moreover, I re-joined the competitive circuit in 2014, and in July 2016 I was crowned Mrs. All-Star United States in the national competition held in Savannah, GA.
Given my long pageant career, I appreciate the value of a professional and personal balance. An avid baker and interior decorator, I enjoy hosting lavish dinner parties and proudly decorate the family’s 7 Christmas trees by November 1! Yet I maintain a healthy lifestyle with a daily mix of cardio boxing and weight training, which benefits me well when I model in fashion shows.
