My name is Tabitha Kinchen and I am honored to have been appointed as your United States of America’s Mrs. Virginia 2020. I am speechless, delighted and beyond proud to represent the commonwealth of Virginia!
I was drawn to pageantry because the pageants are designed to encourage women to become the best version of themselves, something I take to heart in life. I admire an organization that sets standards for empowering women to aspire to their greatest dreams, no matter who they are, where they are from, or what confidence level they exude. Women do NOT fit in one box, we are not one kind or type, and our uniqueness is what makes us BEAUTIFUL! Find YOUR beautiful and go confidently into this world as YOU, because YOU are perfect! Pageantry and the women I have met so far have had an incredible lasting impact on my life I am excited to continue that journey as I join with the United States of America Pageants whose motto is:
“to EMPOWER Women, INSPIRE others, & UPLIFT everyone! We focus on women empowerment, promoting positive self-image and advocating a platform of community service, which allows our contestants to rise by lifting others”
I personally cannot appreciate a greater cause for women everywhere and at every stage of their personal journey than that empowerment, inspiration and uplifting attitude.
I have 11 years of experience working with and for Government organizations, during which time I have had experiences in the areas of Administrative Support, Data Management, Security Administration and Special Investigations. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Developmental Psychology and a Master of Science in Criminal Justice, Forensic Psychology. I am proudly married to Troy Kinchen, who is an officer in the United States Air Force. We have two high energy ‘four’ legged children, Remy and Zemke, and in my free time, I enjoy running, hiking, riding my motorcycle, volunteering and anything that gets me outdoors.
I love to be challenged in life, and pageantry (which I never thought I would fall so much in love with) has pushed me beyond anything I have ever done before. I have always loved serving, giving back and knowing I am making a positive impact, whether to one, some or entire communities, and I have been blessed beyond measure with the people and organizations that have come into my life. I will continue to focus on bringing awareness to the transition process for Military and Homeless Veterans by bringing attention to organizations that aid in making difficult transitions smoother and more effective in the long-term. Since competing, I have realized I have so much more to say and so much more to share. I will be expanding and sharing more of my personal life and passions which include stress management, self-love, self-forgiveness and overall maintaining a positive mental health needed to undertake whatever life is throwing at you.
Virginia and the United States of America Pageants, THANK YOU for choosing me to represent you, these causes and this organization, it is an honor I do not take lightly and look forward to what this year and on will bring!
