Suzie Sawicki is a 18 year old, bilingual first year Communications and Political Science
student at the University of Windsor. She is aspiring to become a Journalist as she has a
passion for learning about others and immersing herself in different cultures. Suzie hopes
to be working in Windsor-Essex as she is excited to see the area grow over the years to
come. She continues to work towards this dream through her education as well as writing
stories about local events and people making a difference in their communities.
During her spare time, Suzie loves spending with her family, hiking, writing poetry, and
going geocaching! She also enjoys creating content for her Youtube channel, with the
main focus of her videos being about her travels abroad.
Her focus on community collaboration has led her to a number of volunteer opportunities
within the Windsor-Essex Area including ‘Dragon Boats for the Cure’, ‘Coats 4 Kids,’
‘Transition for Betterness,’ and ‘The SickKids Foundation’. Suzie dreams that if chosen
as Miss Tecumseh she can raise donations and bring awareness to her platform, ‘The
Hospice of Windsor and Essex County,’ an organization that is near and dear to her.
Whether it be through supporting local businesses or speaking with residents at various
events, Suzie would be honored to be a spokesperson for the Town of Tecumseh. If given
the title, Suzie hopes that as Miss Tecumseh she can inspire others, particularly young
minds, to seek out opportunities and make a difference in the world.
